The Community Gallery in Santa Fe has opened the ArtWorks Student Showcase, an exhibition that features more than 100 pieces of visual art created by students from Santa Fe Public Schools. The works on display were selected through a jury process and include contributions from preschoolers to high school seniors.
ArtWorks, established in 2001 by the City of Santa Fe Arts Commission, is recognized as a key arts education program in the city. Since 2010, it has been managed by the Partners in Education Foundation for Santa Fe Public Schools. The program connects professional teaching artists with classrooms to conduct workshops that encourage inquiry and engagement.
Throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, ArtWorks reached 21 schools across the district and was supported by ten professional teaching artists. The student showcase aims to demonstrate the outcomes of these collaborative efforts and highlights student creativity and growth.
Support for this exhibition comes from the City of Santa Fe Arts & Culture Department along with its Community Gallery.
The opening reception for the ArtWorks Student Showcase will take place on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Community Gallery located at 201 West Marcy Street in Santa Fe. The exhibition will remain open to visitors until April 2, 2026. Admission is free and gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5:00 p.m.
