She resolved critical issues such as unreported fees and expired contracts, streamlined reporting by providing clearer instructions to vendors, and improved accuracy through diligent reconciliation of quarterly revenue spreadsheets.
Her proactive communication and responsiveness with both vendors and management have enhanced compliance and reduced errors within the division. Notably, Montoya collected over $1.8 million in fees in a single quarter—the highest amount recorded in State Purchasing Division history—which reflects her dedication to her work.
