Brian McWilliams, applications developer for the General Services Department, was recognized as ’employee of the quarter’ for his contributions and dedication during the past quarter.

According to an announcement from the department, McWilliams has supported several high-profile and mission-critical initiatives. He led and contributed to multiple complex web application projects that support operations and public services for the State of New Mexico. These projects include developing the Governor’s Residence Reservation System, which manages scheduling for public tours, official events, and tennis court reservations.

McWilliams also advanced the Case Management System for the Office of Mitigation, Prevention, and Resolution. The department said this work ensures that the application supports bureau operations efficiently and in an organized manner. In addition to these responsibilities, he played a key role in developing a new intranet website aimed at modernizing internal communication across the agency.

The department highlighted McWilliams’s involvement in improving digital accessibility on its upcoming public website to meet modern standards. The announcement said that managing these multiple high-priority initiatives would be challenging for any developer but noted his professionalism, attention to detail, and consistent focus on quality.

“Brian’s work ethic, technical skill, and collaborative approach make him an invaluable member of the team. His contributions have delivered measurable progress and lasting value to GSD,” according to the General Services Department.

Further details about McWilliams’s recognition are available as listed on the department’s official roster page.
