Charleston Golden Eagles fall to Shepherd Rams in NCAA Division II baseball, 11-5

At 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, the Charleston Golden Eagles, featuring former Los Alamos High standout Kyle Evenhus, were defeated 11-5 by the Shepherd Rams in their NCAA Division II baseball game.

Fairfax Field hosted the contest, which marked the team’s second meeting with the Rams this season. The previous contest, played Saturday, March 7, ended with the Golden Eagles losing 9-6.

Evenhus pitched 3.2 innings, giving up three earned runs, walking three batters and striking out one.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m. when they play the Wheeling Cardinals at JB Chambers I-470 Complex.
