The City of Santa Fe announced on April 17 that work continues on the Airport Road Roadway Improvements Project, with several activities underway and an updated schedule for Phase Two.

The ongoing improvements are important for residents and motorists who travel along Airport Road, as they aim to enhance safety and infrastructure in the area.

According to the city, striping operations will take place throughout the week along Airport Road. Concrete structure work at 4200 Airport Road, in front of PC’s Restaurant, is nearing completion. Motorists are advised to expect shoulder work and minor lane shifts during this period.

Phase Two of the project, which covers the segment from NM 599 to Country Club Road, has been rescheduled. The city said work is now expected to begin by the end of July and conclude by early August. This change was made due to planned median improvements by the Public Works Parks Division and other scheduling considerations.

The Parks Division will start median improvements soon along Airport Road from NM 599 to Paseo del Sol West. This work must be completed before Phase Two roadway improvements can begin. The city stated that additional details and confirmed dates for Phase Two will be shared once this preliminary work is finished.
