County to recycle Christmas trees

Wondering what to do with your Christmas tree? Place your non-artificial tree curbside on January 3–6 or 17–20 and it will be collected on your regular trash collection day. Be sure to remove all lights and ornaments prior to collection and maintain a 4-foot distance between your roll cart and the tree.

If you miss these collection dates, bring your tree to the Eco Station or Overlook Convenience Center for free, or call (505) 662-8163 for a special brush collection for a $25.00 fee.

Once collected, trees will be recycled into mulch and compost.
