COVID-19 vaccine/booster clinic scheduled for June 27
Los Alamos County and Premier Medical Group will hold a vaccine and booster clinic to administer Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to eligible recipients, including children as young as five. The clinic is scheduled for Monday, June 27, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Los Alamos, 2200 Diamond Drive, Los Alamos.
Interested individuals can schedule an appointment at https://vaccinenm.org. While appointments are preferred, walk-ins are welcome. Insurance and identification are not required.
Unfortunately, Premier Medical Group will not be equipped in time for the June 27 clinic to accommodate children younger than five, even though the Food and Drug Administration recently authorized emergency use of the Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines for children younger than five down to six months of age. Los Alamos County Emergency Manager Beverley Simpson will schedule a clinic upon receipt of these new vaccines or interested parents can contact their pediatricians.
