JOB TITLE: Mechanical & Plumbing Apprentice, Journeyman

Position Summary:Under direct supervision of the Capital Projects & Facilities Manager or Designee, constructs, modifies, and maintains Mechanical and Plumbing and support systems. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.

Minimum Qualifications for the Mechanical & Plumbing Apprentice:•High School Diploma or GED.•Three years of experience in the carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or general construction trades.•Must possess, or ability to obtain within sixty days of employment, and maintain a New Mexico Class D driver’s license.•Successful completion of the pre-employment physical exam prior to commencing work.•May be required to successfully complete a thorough background investigation, including FBI fingerprint check.

Additional Qualifications for Mechanical & Plumbing Journeyman:• Additional two years of experience in the mechanical construction trades.• Must possess, or ability to obtain within six months of employment, and maintain a New Mexico journeyman license such as, Mechanical JP, JPF, JPG, JR, or BO2 certification.
