The City of Santa Fe announced on April 27 that construction will soon begin on the Airport Road median beautification project. The work is scheduled to start on Wednesday, April 29, and continue through June.

The project will focus on improving the medians along Airport Road, beginning at the intersection with State Road 599 and continuing eastward, including four medians before ending at Paseo del Sol West. City officials said lane closures are expected during construction for the safety of both workers and the public. Drivers should anticipate traffic delays in the area while work is underway.

According to city communications, “One or more lanes may be closed daily during construction. Please expect traffic delays. Lane closures are necessary for the safety of workers and the public.” Updates about this and other road projects can be found through official city channels.
