The City of Santa Fe announced on April 9 that residents are invited to participate in the annual Citywide Great American Cleanup, scheduled for Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The event aims to bring together volunteers from across Santa Fe to clean neighborhoods, parks, arroyos, and public spaces. Organizers say the cleanup helps protect local waterways, reduce litter, and maintain shared community areas.
Participants can collect cleanup supplies between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. at 1142 Siler Road before heading out to their chosen locations. The effort is coordinated by the city’s Conservation and Sustainability Division along with the Keep Santa Fe Beautiful program.
The initiative is supported by several partners including Santa Fe Public Schools, Santa Fe County, Breaking Bad Habits Campaign, Trash Pandas group, Santa Fe Watershed Association, and various city departments such as Environmental Services and Parks and Open Space.
This cleanup event is part of broader Earth Month activities in Santa Fe that focus on community stewardship and environmental responsibility. Residents interested in joining can register online for more information about the event.
