Santa Fe County announced on May 23 that its administrative offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. The closure is part of the county’s participation in honoring service members who have lost their lives while serving the United States.

The closure affects all Santa Fe County administrative offices and Senior Centers. Seniors who are eligible for home-delivered meals will receive additional meals ahead of the holiday to ensure continued support during the closure. Solid Waste Convenience Centers will also remain closed as per their regular schedule. Essential public safety services will continue without interruption throughout the holiday.

Regular business hours for county administrative offices are set to resume on Tuesday, May 26. According to the official website, Santa Fe County supports its operations through a network of administrative and service facilities across the region and promotes community engagement through public meetings, advisory boards, and access to documents.

Santa Fe County operates under a Board of County Commissioners responsible for policy-making, with a County Manager providing administrative oversight, according to the official website. The county extends its services—including public safety, health and human services, public works, and community development—to residents in incorporated municipalities, pueblos, and unincorporated areas throughout Santa Fe County.

According to the official website, Santa Fe County emphasizes transparent governance and resource stewardship as it seeks to improve quality of life for all community members.
