Santa Fe County announced on March 26 new deadlines for community members to submit capital project requests as part of its Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan (ICIP) for fiscal years 2028-2032.
The ICIP helps set priorities for future projects that align with the county’s long-term goals, supporting areas such as affordable housing, transportation, economic development, public safety facilities, and water infrastructure. Community input is an important part of this process.
According to the county’s announcement, May 31 is the deadline for residents, nonprofits, registered community organizations, and resident associations to submit their project requests to county staff. These submissions will be reviewed and consolidated into the upcoming ICIP. The request form can be found on the Planning website. Growth Management and Planning staff are scheduled to present the plan to the Board of County Commissioners in June. By July 1, Santa Fe County will submit its list of projects to the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration.
