The Santa Fe County Board of County Commissioners is set to hold a public hearing regarding a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) application by AES Clean Energy Development, LLC, Rancho Viejo Limited Partnership, and Rancho Viejo Solar, LLC. The hearing will take place over two days on August 11 and 12, 2025.

On the first day, presentations will be made by county staff and applicants. Public comments will not be allowed on this day. However, live public comments under oath will be accepted on August 12.

The county has provided several options for the public to participate or view the hearings. These include virtual streaming via Facebook, YouTube, and Microsoft Teams. Designated viewing areas have also been arranged due to limited space in the Board Chambers.

Written comments can be submitted until July 31 via email or U.S. Mail to the Growth Management Department at Santa Fe County. Live comments on August 12 require pre-registration through an online form or by phone.

Overflow viewing options are available at various locations including conference rooms at 102 Grant Avenue and Eldorado Hotel and Spa’s Zia Ballrooms. Media representatives can attend with prior arrangements.

Parking is not provided by Santa Fe County but is available at nearby municipal garages and hotels.

For further information or assistance with registration, individuals are encouraged to contact the Santa Fe County Growth Management Department.
