The Office of the Santa Fe County Assessor (OSFCA) has been recertified with the Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Administration (CEAA) by the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO). The recognition was announced at the 2025 IAAO Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida.

Santa Fe County remains the only county in New Mexico to hold this certification and is one of 62 jurisdictions across the United States to receive it. The CEAA designation is based on a comprehensive, peer-reviewed self-assessment that evaluates adherence to professional standards and commitment to continual improvement, transparency, and professionalism.

“This recertification reaffirms our commitment to delivering fair, accurate, and accessible property assessments for all Santa Fe County property owners,” said Santa Fe County Assessor Isaiah F. Romero. “It’s not just about maintaining high standards; it’s about improving the way we serve our community every day.”

The office received additional recognition in 2024 when it was awarded the ACE Award for Excellence in Community Service from Aumentum Technologies for its outreach and engagement initiatives during 2023–2024.

“We have an amazing team that is committed to public service,” said Chief Deputy Assessor Ivan Barry. “We’re honored to be recognized on a national level for doing work that has a direct and positive impact on a local level.”

The OSFCA’s list of awards dates back to 2016, reflecting ongoing efforts toward excellence in assessment practices and community engagement.
