Santa Fe County Is Now Under a Fireworks Ban
0Comments

The sale and ban of fireworks this year is solely related to protecting lives and property during this period of exceptional drought in Santa Fe County.
The most recent Resolution, unanimously approved by the Board of County Commissioners on May 10th 2022, has been put into place to avoid accidental fires that can quickly destroy public and private property and threaten lives.
We highly recommend Santa Fe County residents avoid the exceptional hazards associated with consumer fireworks this year and seek out professionally produced public displays or other means to celebrate our nation’s independence.
Please obey all local laws regarding the use of fireworks. We are only a spark away from the next wildfire.
