Santa Fe County is reminding residents to sign up for Alert Santa Fe, the county’s emergency alert and notification system. The system provides notifications about road closures due to localized flooding or other weather emergencies. Residents can register online to receive these alerts.

The county advises citizens to create a Safety Profile with Alert Santa Fe so their information will be available immediately to 9-1-1 operators and so they can receive emergency notifications.

“Alert Santa Fe is the County’s official emergency alert and notification system used to send information to the public during emergencies. Alert Santa Fe is private and secure and is only used for emergency responses. Residents can register online to receive notifications.”

Residents are also encouraged to report any flooding or unpassable roads and bridges by calling the non-emergency dispatch number at (505) 428-3710. Officials ask for patience as dispatchers may experience high call volumes during severe weather.

For situations that require immediate response from law enforcement, fire departments, or emergency medical services, residents should dial 9-1-1.

For more information, individuals can contact the Regional Emergency Communications Center at (505) 428-3710.
