The City of Santa Fe announced on April 21 that nominations are now open for the 2026 Mayor’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts. The awards aim to honor individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to Santa Fe’s arts community.

These annual awards recognize a range of achievements across several categories, including Arts, Arts Educators, Culture Connects, Heritage Arts, Innovators, Philanthropy, and Youth Artist. According to the announcement, “The Mayor’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts recognize those outstanding contributions.”

Nominations must be submitted by midnight on April 30. The city will host an awards ceremony in September 2026 to celebrate this year’s honorees.

The City of Santa Fe encourages residents to participate by nominating deserving candidates through its official website. This initiative highlights the ongoing importance of creative work within the local community.

By acknowledging both individuals and groups involved in shaping Santa Fe’s cultural landscape, city officials hope to foster continued growth and recognition of artistic excellence.
