The City of Santa Fe announced on May 5 that it is seeking public input to help shape the Santa Fe Public Library’s new strategic plan. The city is inviting residents to participate in a series of community engagement sessions scheduled throughout May at local library branches.

The strategic plan will set priorities and guide actions for the Santa Fe Public Library over the next three to five years. According to the announcement, this framework will influence program development, funding decisions, and long-term goals for the library system.

Community members are encouraged to attend one of several engagement sessions. The first two sessions will take place on Saturday, May 16: from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at La Farge Library and from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Southside Library. A third session is scheduled for Thursday, May 21 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Main Library.

Residents who cannot attend an in-person session have other opportunities to provide feedback by completing an online Community Input Survey by May 21 or participating in a Youth Services Survey focused on programs for children and teens by May 12.

The city also highlighted its range of newsletters offering updates about events, recreation news, road construction reports, and breaking news relevant to residents.
