Los Alamos County ranks healthiest in New Mexico, according to a report released by the insurance and financial group, SmartAsset, which has looked at counties across the state in an effort to find the healthiest places in America.
The company said it used a set of variables to determine the healthiest places in New Mexico, and the data set included county level data regarding length of life, health behaviors and health care access.
The top ten healthiest counties in the state include: Los Alamos, No. 1; Santa Fe, No. 2; Bernalillo, No. 3; Sandoval, No. 4; Grant, No. 5; Taos, No. 6; Dona Ana, No. 7; Roosevelt, No. 8; Colfax, No. 9; San Miguel, No. 10.
