100 percent of applicants to the Institute of American Indian and Alaska Native Culture and Arts Development were admitted for fall 2018

At the Institute of American Indian and Alaska Native Culture and Arts Development, 77 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Santa Fe enrolled 589 students in fall 2018, including 543 in undergraduate and 46 in graduate programs, data shows. 7.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

56 percent of undergraduates are residents of New Mexico, and 44 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as American Indian or Alaska Native (71 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (11 percent).

The school admitted 100 percent of the 188 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 33 percent enrolled.
