Santa Fe Community College NM issued the following announcement on Oct. 16.
No SFCC classes or services on Oct. 23. Kids Campus has scheduled parent/teacher conferences that day. William C. Witter Fitness Center and the Santa Fe HEC will be closed.
The SFCC Main Campus and the Santa Fe Higher Education Center, whose campuses have been closed (with limited exceptions) to prevent the spread of COVID-19, will be entirely closed on Friday, October 23. There will be no SFCC classes or student services available while faculty and staff participate in a campus-wide Professional Development Day, a college initiative to improve support of SFCC students in achieving their educational goals.
Santa Fe Higher Education Center’s partner institutions are offering classes online this semester. New Mexico Highlands University students can contact Mary Anne Sandoval at masandoval@nmhu.edu if they need assistance. Bellevue University students may contact Mark Wood at marwood@bellevue.edu.
SFCC’s child development center, Kids Campus, has scheduled parent/teacher conferences on Oct. 23. Kids Campus has reopened with a limited capacity and is following strict COVID-19 safety protocols.
SFCC’s William C. Witter Fitness Education Center, which remains closed except by appointment, will not be open on Oct. 23. To make an appointment for future limited fitness activities (lap swimming, singles tennis play or half-court basketball) visit https://www.sfcc.edu/offices/fitness-education-center/ to read the COVID-19 safety protocols and go to the appointment link.
Classes will resume on Saturday, Oct. 24. The college will resume online student services on Monday, Oct. 26.
