Census Bureau: 77.9% of people in Los Alamos County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 19,169 citizens living in Los Alamos County in 2021, 77.9% were old enough to vote, equating to 14,932 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 7,619 were male, constituting 51%, and 7,313 were female, making up 49%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Los Alamos County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77%.
