TAOS, NM – The New Mexico Department of Health’s (NMHealth) Taos Public Health Office at 1400 Weimer Road will be providing no-cost back-to-school vaccinations for all children aged 18 and younger. No appointment is necessary, and the service is available regardless of patient status or insurance coverage.
Parents are required to bring their child’s shot record and Medicaid or private health insurance card if applicable. Immunizations are provided at no cost, and no one will be turned away due to lack of insurance.
To obtain a copy of vaccination records, parents can visit VaxViewNM.org or contact the New Mexico State Immunization Information System Help Desk at 1-833-882-6454. The immunization program operates from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a lunch break from 12 to 1 p.m. Voicemails can also be left for callback assistance.
The vaccinations are part of the Got Shots? immunization campaign organized by the New Mexico Immunization Coalition, which includes the New Mexico Primary Care Association and the Department of Health. This year, over 75 community health centers, public health offices, and private practices across New Mexico are participating in Got Shots?
