The New Mexico Department of Health’s Las Cruces Public Health Office will be offering no-cost back-to-school vaccinations for children aged 18 and younger. The office, located at 1170 N. Solano Suite A, does not require appointments for these services.
Parents are advised to bring their child's shot record and Medicaid or private health insurance card if available. However, immunizations will be provided at no cost even if the child is uninsured.
For those needing a copy of vaccination records, they can visit VaxViewNM.org or contact the New Mexico State Immunization Information System Help Desk at 1-833-882-6454. The help desk operates from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a lunch break from 12 to 1 p.m.
These vaccinations are part of the Got Shots? immunization campaign organized by the New Mexico Immunization Coalition, which includes the New Mexico Primary Care Association and the Department of Health. Over 75 community health centers, public health offices, and private practices across New Mexico are participating in this year’s campaign.
For more information on child vaccines and school vaccine requirements, parents can visit VaccineNM.org or call the NMHealth Helpline at 1-833-SWNURSE (1-833-796-8773).
