The New Mexico Department of Health’s Sierra County Public Health Office in Truth or Consequences will provide no-cost back-to-school vaccinations for all children aged 18 and younger throughout July. The office is located at 201 East Fourth Avenue, and no appointment is necessary.

Parents are required to bring their child’s shot record and Medicaid or private health insurance card if available. Immunizations are provided at no cost, and no one will be turned away for lack of insurance.

To obtain a copy of vaccination records, visit VaxViewNM.org or contact the New Mexico State Immunization Information System Help Desk at 1-833-882-6454. The immunization program operates from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a lunch break from 12 to 1 p.m.

The vaccinations are part of the Got Shots? immunization campaign organized by the New Mexico Immunization Coalition, which includes the New Mexico Primary Care Association and the Department of Health. Over 75 community health centers, public health offices, and private practices across New Mexico are participating in this year's campaign.
