39.9% unemployed in Santa Fe County in 2017

39.9 percent of Santa Fe County residents between 16 and 65 years old were unemployed in 2017, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The percentage of unemployed residents was less than the statewide total of 41.5 percent for this demographic group. In 2017 the total Santa Fe County population reached 122,691.

Out of 73,764 people who had a job, 70 were employed in the Armed Forces and 73,694 belonged to the civilian labor force.

The total unemployment numbers include residents of all ages who are not working.
