City of Santa Fe issued the following announcement on Apr. 29.
Reporters are invited to listen in on an important discussion of the financial impacts of COVID-19. The U.S. Conference of Mayors has asked Mayor Webber to participate in a video call with the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Representative Richard Neal. The topic under discussion: the financial impact COVID-19 is imposing on cities.
The Mayors on the call will be:
- Mayor Nan Whaley, Dayton, OH
- Mayor Steve Benjamin, Columbia, SC
- Mayor Jeff Williams, Arlington, TX
- Mayor Bill Peduto, Pittsburgh, PA
- Mayor Alan Webber, Santa Fe, NM
This discussion will be open to the press. Members of the media will be invited to listen to the conversation via USCM’s Facebook https://www.facebook.com/usmayors/live/ page . Reporters will not be able to ask questions during the discussion. USCM will facilitate any press questions/interviews with individual mayors following the discussion.
