Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Santa Fe Community College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Santa Fe Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New Mexico residents paid $2,115 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 117.7 percent more than residents this year, or $4,605. Their price tag was unchanged from $4,605 in 2017-18.

About 99 percent of the school's undergraduate population are New Mexico residents. And about 1 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 80 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 285 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.3 million and 11 students took out student loans totaling more than $45,594.

Including all undergraduates (4,207), 1,351 students used grants or scholarships totaling $5.7 million, and 135 students took out $801,765 in federal student loans.
