Santa Fe County ranked second in New Mexico for resident earnings in 2018

Santa Fe County ranked second among counties in New Mexico by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Santa Fe County residents was $32,018 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 61,972 households with a population of 148,917.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Los Alamos County with $62,265 per year after adjusting for inflation – $30,247 more than Santa Fe County. It had 7,567 households with a population of 18,356.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Mora County with $14,275 per year after adjusting for inflation – $17,743 less than Santa Fe County. It had 1,535 households with a population of 4,563.
