Santa Fe, NM - In a collaborative effort, various organizations have come together to provide Santa Fe County residents with a safe ride option during the upcoming Good Friday-Easter celebrations in 2024.

The program, named "Take A Ride on Us," aims to discourage driving under the influence by offering residents a convenient alternative. Residents can avail themselves of this service from 10 am on March 29th through 2 am on April 1st by using a special code on the Uber app.

"Take A Ride on Us” empowers Santa Fe County residents with the choice to take a safe ride option instead of driving under the influence during Easter weekend celebrations in which alcohol consumption is common," stated the announcement.

The initiative, supported by various entities including Cumulus Media Albuquerque and the New Mexico Department of Transportation, encourages responsible drinking practices. "By drinking responsibly and using the “Take a Ride on Us program,” together we can ENDWI," emphasized the organizers.

To participate in the program, residents need to add the code SFGF24 under VOUCHERS in the Uber app to receive a credit of up to $10 off two trips. It is important to note that the maximum number of trips available is 500, and the credit can only be used for rides, not Uber Eats, and the discount does not cover tips.

"For additional information regarding the Santa Fe County “Take a Ride on Us” program, please contact Chanelle Delgado, Youth Services Program Manager, Santa Fe County Community Services Department at cdelgado@santafecountynm.gov," mentioned the announcement, providing a contact point for further inquiries.
