Santa Fe, NM – The Santa Fe County Public Works Department (SFCPWD) has announced the official opening of Rabbit Road, a significant milestone in the NE/SE Connector Roads Project. The road will open to the public on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 9:00 AM.

The completion of Rabbit Road is particularly important for residents in Oshara Village. This new road aims to alleviate traffic through the community and improve travel times. The enhanced traffic flow is expected to boost overall connectivity within the Community College District while protecting residential areas from traffic disturbances.

Motorists are reminded to adhere to posted speed limits and exercise caution while driving on the newly opened road to ensure safety.

SFCPWD expressed gratitude to the community for their patience during delays caused by resource shortages. "We are committed to investing in public infrastructure that meets the needs of our growing community," stated SFCPWD officials.

For more information and additional safety resources, contact Mike Hart, Project Manager III, at mhart@santafecountynm.gov. Further project details can be found on the project website at https://www.sfcconnectors.com.
