Santa Fe County announces kick-off meeting for local emergency planning committee

The Santa Fe County Office of Emergency Management has announced the kick-off meeting for the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC). The event is scheduled for Friday, August 2, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Nancy Rodriguez Community Center, located at 1 Prairie Dog Loop, Santa Fe, NM.

The LEPC aims to establish a collaborative framework focused on enhancing community preparedness and response capabilities related to hazardous materials. This initiative seeks to gather diverse insights and expertise from various sectors, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, businesses, and community groups.

During the meeting, the roles and responsibilities of the LEPC will be discussed. Organizational representatives will also be identified. Following these discussions, there will be a question-and-answer session for interested community members and stakeholder representatives.
