SMRs (small modular reactors), like the CFPP (Carbon Free Power Project), are unique in the way that if one module goes down, it can be repaired while the rest still operate. Such units have built-in advantages: they generally come with a nuclear waste storage containment device, and they could create drinkable water supplies in those countries where such a resource is in short supply.
