Santa Fe County Senior Services is providing free transportation for seniors from the El Rancho Senior Center to the polling site at Pojoaque High School on November 5, 2024. This service aims to assist seniors aged 60 and older in District 1 in reaching their voting location for the general election.

The transportation initiative comes after the polling site was moved from the El Rancho Senior Center to Pojoaque High School. Santa Fe County Senior Services emphasizes that this year's transportation is limited to trips from the senior center due to resource constraints, as transit is usually reserved for medical purposes.

Seniors must complete a transportation assessment by November 1, 2024, to qualify for this service. The departure times are scheduled for 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Seniors interested in utilizing this opportunity should contact Santa Fe County Senior Services at 505-992-3069.

This initiative ensures that seniors have a secure means of participating in the upcoming election.
