Santa Fe County is addressing concerns about frequent collisions at the intersection of CR-45/44 and NM-14 by hosting a community meeting. The county has engaged Lee Engineering, LLC to conduct a safety study on the intersection and provide recommendations for improvements.

The meeting will take place on October 30, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. in the Santa Fe County Public Safety Complex's Multipurpose Conference Room. It will be moderated by County Commission Chairman Hank Hughes (D-5) and County Commissioner Camilla Bustamante (D-3). Representatives from the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office, Public Works, and the New Mexico Department of Transportation will also participate to offer additional information and answer questions.

Residents of Districts 3 and 5 who frequently use this intersection or live nearby are encouraged to attend. This meeting provides an opportunity for community members to express their concerns, learn about traffic calming solutions, and collaborate with county staff on implementing safety measures.

For those unable to attend in person, there is an option to join virtually via Webex. Santa Fe County aims to make meetings accessible by providing auxiliary aids or services upon request through the Santa Fe County Manager’s Office.

Further details can be obtained from Gabriel Bustos or Brittney Lovato, Constituent Services Liaisons for Districts 5 and 3 respectively.
