CITY OF SANTA FE: City Extends Closures and Cancellations through Sunday, May 10, 2020

Announcement

City of Santa Fe issued the following announcement on April 4.

In alignment with National and State recommendations the City will extend the closure and cancellation date from Sunday, April 5 through Sunday, May 10, 2020.  The City will continue to monitor emerging health recommendations and best practices to make decisions on any closures, policies, or practices. The Mayor and City Council will continue to take proactive steps to protect the safety and well-being of our community. The following will remain closed or cancelled through Sunday, May 10, 2020.

Government Facilities and Events

The Santa Fe Public Library with its three branches (Main, La Farge, and Southside) will remain closed. The Genoveva Chavez Community Center (GCCC) and Ft. Marcy Sports Complex will also remain closed.  The Municipal Recreation Sports Complex and the Marty Sanchez Golf Course will remain closed.

City Buildings will remain closed to the public.

All City sponsored events, co-sponsored events will be cancelled through May 10, 2020.

City Parks and Trail will remain open at this time, however social distancing is required. Individuals must maintain 6ft. of separation.

Meetings

Governing Body, Finance Committee, Public Works and Utilities Committee, Quality of Life Committee meetings will be held virtually.

Land Use related meetings will be held virtually. This includes: Planning Commission, Historic Districts Review Board, Early Neighborhood Notification (ENN) meetings, and Archaeological Review Committee.

The meetings will be available on the City’s YouTube Channel and Government Channel Comcast 28 / 928.

The City of Santa Fe will continue to provide all other services.  This emergency health situation continues to change and evolve. We will provide regular updates on our website, social media, and on Alert Santa Fe.

Residents are encouraged to stay safe at home and only leave for essential items.
