CITY OF SANTA FE: Santa Fe Police Concludes Phase II of Operation: Slow and Quiet

City of Santa Fe issued the following announcement on Sept. 23. 

This past Friday the Santa Fe Police Department concluded Phase II of Operation: Slow and Quiet. The City-wide operation began on August 14, with the goal of deterring unsafe driving as well as addressing a number of community concerns such as loud mufflers, speeding and drag racing throughout the City.

During the 35 day operation, officers issued a total of 1,550 citations. Of that total, officers issued 305 citations for speeding, 31 citations for careless driving, 10 citations for reckless driving, 3 citations for drag racing and 7 citations for loud mufflers.

The Santa Fe Police Department would like to thank everyone who reached out to us, to let us know of their concerns and requests for traffic enforcement in their neighborhood.
