$15 Million Coming to City From
American Rescue Plan Act
Public Input Sought on Priorities
for Use of Funds
October 15, 2021 --The City of Santa Fe will receive $15 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding from the Federal Government over the next three years to assist in the local recovery from the COVID-19 crisis.
The City is seeking input this month from residents on priorities for how these funds would be best spent. This input will be shared with the Mayor, City Councilors, and City staff as they create budget priorities for the next fiscal year.
Community Health and Safety Director Kyra Ochoa says: “We at the City have been hearing from partners and constituents about the greatest needs people in our community are facing in the wake of the pandemic at community meetings, committee meetings, and in one-on-one conversations for many months since we learned of our ARPA award. We are excited to announce an opportunity for more formal community engagement on how best to spend these funds to help Santa Fe recover, and we welcome all to participate and spread the word.”
City of Santa Fe residents have three opportunities this October to share their ideas:
Participate in the Online Survey, open from October 15-31, available in Spanish and English.
Attend a Virtual Listening Session, 5 p.m., Tuesday, October 19:
Share your thoughts with the Mayor and Councilors at a Virtual City Council Meeting Session, 5 p.m., October 27
