Being a part of “America’s #1 Healthiest Community” three years in a row is one of our #favoritethings about living in Los Alamos County.
For the expected, unexpected, and everything in between, Los Alamos County Social Services oversees a spectrum of programs centered around community health and well-being. Los Alamos residents of all ages can receive assistance with access to housing and food support, health insurance and benefits, and other resources, programming and services for individuals, youth, families, and seniors throughout the community. Social Services staff also coordinate the work of the Los Alamos County Health Council and the DWI Planning Council.
Whether you are interested in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, your teen wants to record a new song they wrote, a senior friend wants to learn to play the ukulele, or your family needs referrals for mental health specialists and support groups - these organizations do an exceptional job taking care of every age group in the community. Visit the websites and social media pages below to get to know these organizations a little better and see how they can enrich your life!
