Levels of the SARS-CoV-2 virus detected in county wastewater remained at stable low levels over the past several weeks, consistent with stable low levels of reported case transmission. For the week of January 2, the CDC/Biobot contractor reports that the XBB.1.5 variant accounted for 45% of detected virus in county wastewater, with the remainder identified as BA.5.
