Santa Fe County residents are being offered a safe ride option for the upcoming St. Patrick's Day celebrations through the "Take A Ride on Us" program. This initiative allows residents to opt for a safe ride instead of driving under the influence during the festivities where alcohol consumption is prevalent.

Residents of Bernalillo, Sandoval, and Santa Fe County can avail of this option from 10 am on March 15th to 2 am on March 18th by using the code ABQGREEN24 on the Uber app to receive a credit of up to $10 off two trips. The program, which is a collaboration between various organizations including Cumulus Media Albuquerque and the New Mexico Department of Transportation, aims to promote responsible decision-making and prevent drunk driving incidents.

In a statement, it was highlighted that the "Take A Ride on Us" program has been successful in providing a secure ride option to over 38,000 riders in the Albuquerque Metro area since its inception in 2017. This initiative has been made possible through the joint efforts of Cumulus Media Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, Sandoval County, Santa Fe County, Glasheen Valles and Inderman Injury Lawyers, and ENDWI.

Chanelle Delgado, Youth Services Program Manager at Santa Fe County Community Services Department, encouraged residents to take advantage of the program, stating, "For additional information regarding the Santa Fe County 'Take a Ride on Us' program, please contact me at cdelgado@santafecountynm.gov."

As St. Patrick's Day approaches, the "Take A Ride on Us" program serves as a crucial reminder for individuals to prioritize safety and make responsible choices when celebrating.
