Santa Fe, NM—In an effort to promote safety during the upcoming Cinco de Mayo celebrations, a collaborative initiative has been announced to offer residents of Santa Fe, Rio Rancho, and Albuquerque a safe ride option. The program, known as "Take A Ride on Us," aims to provide individuals with an alternative to driving under the influence.

As stated by the announcement, residents of Santa Fe, Bernalillo, and Sandoval Counties can utilize the program from 10 am on May 3rd through 2 am on May 6th. By entering the code NMCINCO24 in the Uber app under VOUCHERS, individuals can receive a credit of up to $10 off two trips. It is important to note that the maximum number of trips available is 2000 and the credit can only be used for rides, excluding Uber Eats. The promotional offer does not cover tips for the drivers.

Throughout the Cinco de Mayo weekend, residents will receive reminders about the code via various radio stations such as eD FM, Magic 99-5, 95.9 FM/610 AM The Sports Animal, and 94.5 The Pit. The collaborative efforts of Cumulus Media Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, Sandoval County, Santa Fe County, Glasheen Valles and Inderman Injury Lawyers, Sandia Resort & Casino, and ENDWI aim to encourage individuals to make responsible decisions and utilize the "Take a Ride on Us" program to prevent driving under the influence.

Chanelle Delgado, Youth Services Administrative Program Manager at Santa Fe County, is available for further information regarding the Santa Fe County "Take a Ride on Us" program. She can be reached at cdelgado@santafecountynm.gov.

Residents are urged to take advantage of this initiative and contribute to the collective effort to ENDWI by making responsible choices and utilizing safe ride options during the Cinco de Mayo weekend.
