Santa Fe County has announced the appointment of eight members to its newly formed Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy (ACCE) Council. These individuals will contribute to the county's arts and culture scene, aid in the development of creative industries, and support initiatives linking arts with community well-being.

The ACCE Council consists of a diverse group of local leaders, artists, and experts who bring extensive experience and passion for the arts. Their roles include advising on strategic initiatives, managing funding opportunities, and shaping the future of Santa Fe County's arts and cultural economy.

Despite these appointments, three seats remain open on the council. One representative is needed from each of Santa Fe County’s Districts 1, 2, and 3. Community members from these districts are encouraged to apply by February 11th at 5:00 pm to be considered for appointment at the Board of County Commission meeting on February 25th.

"We are thrilled to welcome the eight new council members and look forward to their leadership in helping to foster an inclusive, creative, and thriving arts community here in Santa Fe County," stated Leila Shadabi, interim facilitator for the ACCE Council. "The remaining seats are an excellent opportunity for more individuals to step up and contribute to shaping the future of arts and culture in our community."

Interested applicants can submit their applications by contacting Leila Shadabi at (505) 986-6250 or lshadabi@santafecountynm.gov. Further information is available on the ACCE Council page.
