CITY OF SANTA FE: The City of Santa Fe’s Office of Affordable Housing Releases the Annual Action Plan for Public Comment

City of Santa Fe issued the following announcement on Apr. 14.

Every year, the City of Santa Fe receives entitlement funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Funds are used to address the housing and community development needs of Santa Fe’s residents with low- and moderate-incomes. As a condition of funding, the City must submit the 2020-2021 Annual Action Plan to HUD which describes how CDBG funds will be used in the community for the next year ending June 30, 2021.

The 2020 Annual Action draft plan is advertised for public review from April 15 – May 14, 2020. City of Santa Fe residents are encouraged to contribute their comments in writing to the Office of Affordable Housing via email (tocandelariamartinez@santafenm.gov), or phone (505) 316-4634, or answer a brief community survey about the projects recommended for funding in the upcoming year, located at https://www.santafenm.gov/hudrequiredreportingandplans .

A public hearing to consider the Annual Action Plan will be held at a virtual City Council meeting on May13, 2020 at 7 pm. Members of the public may view the meeting through the Government Channel on Comcast Channel 28 and Comcast HD928 or may stream the meeting live on the City of Santa Fe’s YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/cityofsantafe . The YouTube live stream can be accessed at this address from most smartphones, tablets, or computers. The meeting can be heard on radio station KSFR 101.1.

The City’s TTY/TDD number is (505) 955-6897. Persons with disabilities in need of accommodations may contact the City Clerk’s Office at (505) 955-6521, five (5) days prior to meeting date.  Auxiliary aids (ASL interpreters, Braille documents) and language interpreters for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) individuals can be made available upon request at (505) 316-4634.
