Preservation Work at Fuller Lodge
Over the next few months, crews with R&M Construction will be performing maintenance on the exterior of Fuller Lodge. On Wednesday, July 13 crews will begin mobilizing equipment to the site with work to follow shortly thereafter. The work will consist of re-painting window frames around the main building (not including the wing additions), repairing the colored mortar joints between the logs, tuck pointing of the chimney and stone wall mortar joints, and re-sealing logs including some minor repairs where needed. There will be some scaffolding visible at times, along with workers on the roof or in bucket trucks. Impacts on visitors and events at the Lodge will be minimized to the extent possible.
Please direct inquiries to the project manager, Wayne Kohlrust at 505-709-0510 or lacpw@lacnm.us This maintenance work is needed periodically to protect and preserve one of the County’s valued treasures.
