Milagro Middle School's science teachers recently organized a special event for their students to witness the Total Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8th. The teachers went the extra mile to ensure the students had a memorable experience. Matthew Pacheco, Mark Waugh, Christopher Slakey, and Leif Johnson all played a crucial role in making the event a success.

Matthew Pacheco spearheaded the eclipse watch party in Milagro's outdoor classroom, providing students with a unique opportunity to observe the celestial event. Mark Waugh's students got creative by making cereal box viewers, adding a hands-on element to the educational experience. Christopher Slakey and Leif Johnson also actively engaged with their students during the eclipse viewing party.

The initiative taken by the science teachers at Milagro Middle School highlights their dedication to providing students with enriching learning experiences outside the traditional classroom setting. By organizing the eclipse viewing party and involving students in creating cereal box viewers, the teachers not only made science more interactive but also sparked curiosity and interest in astronomy among the students.

Events like these not only create lasting memories for the students but also contribute to their overall educational development by fostering a love for science and exploration. It is commendable to see educators going above and beyond to make learning engaging and fun for their students.
