Santa Fe, NM - On March 12, 2024, the Santa Fe County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approved Resolution No. 2024-035, authorizing the free disposal of green waste for county residents with a valid solid waste permit at the Stanley, Jacona, and Eldorado Convenience Centers on Friday, September 6 (8:00 am-5:00 pm) and Saturday, September 7 (8:00 am-5:00 pm), 2024.

Santa Fe County completes NE/SE connector roads project ahead of schedule
SANTA FE, NM – The Santa Fe County Public Works Department has announced the completion of the Northeast/Southeast Connector Roads Project. Completed one month ahead of schedule after a year and eight months of construction, this project marks the largest county road initiative to date. A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of Falcon Way and Avenida Del Sur.

Abedon Lopez Senior Center begins redevelopment with $6 million investment
Beginning July 15, 2024, the Abedon Lopez/Santa Cruz Senior Center in Santa Fe, NM, will temporarily close for demolition and the construction of a new building. This redevelopment project is part of Santa Fe County’s initiative to provide enhanced facilities and services for seniors. The project is expected to be completed by fall 2025.

Santa Fe County modifies senior center lunch schedules on July 26
On July 26, 2024, the Santa Fe County Senior Services Division will temporarily modify the lunch schedule for several senior centers to accommodate a special event for staff. The Bennie J. Chavez, Edgewood, El Rancho, Eldorado, and Rufina lunch sites will serve lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and the centers will close promptly at 1:00 p.m.
